About FindWorkCanada

FindWorkCanada is a free, independent guide to finding work in Calgary, starting with the questions people ask most when they look for a job here.

What is FindWorkCanada?

FindWorkCanada grew out of Find A Job Calgary, a Facebook community for people looking for work in the city. The site answers the questions that come up there again and again: what a job pays, which jobs you can start without experience, where newcomers get free help and how a Canadian resume should look.

We start with Calgary. Guides for the rest of Alberta will follow once they are written and checked.

Who writes the guides?

A small independent editorial team. We are not based in Calgary, so we do not rely on local hearsay: every guide is built from official and primary sources, such as Job Bank, Statistics Canada, the Government of Alberta and The City of Calgary, and each fact links to the source it came from.

The guides are researched and drafted with AI assistance, then checked against those sources. Each page shows the date its facts were last checked.

Is FindWorkCanada part of the government?

No. FindWorkCanada is an independent guide, not affiliated with the Government of Canada, the Government of Alberta or Job Bank.

Does it cost anything?

No. The guides are free to read. You never need to sign up.
