HOW WE CHECK

Editorial policy

How guides are written, checked and kept up to date.

Where does the information come from?

From official and primary sources: Job Bank and Statistics Canada for wages and jobs, the Government of Alberta for employment rules and trades, The City of Calgary for local labour-market reports, and the organisations that run the services we describe.

  • Every fact links to its source.
  • Wages show the source and reference period.
  • Each source shows the date it was last checked.

How are guides written and checked?

Guides are researched and drafted with AI assistance from the sources listed on each page. Every figure, rule and date is then checked against its source before the page is published. Where sources disagree, the guide says so and names the one it uses. Where we could not verify something, we leave it out rather than guess.

How are guides kept up to date?

Each guide shows a “Last checked” date. When a source publishes new figures, such as a new minimum wage or a new Job Bank wage release, we update the guide and the date.

Does FindWorkCanada give immigration advice?
